What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and analyze global regulatory developments related to derivatives from key regulators
- Conduct detailed impact assessments of regulatory changes on the firm's operations and trading desks
- Gather and document business requirements based on regulatory mandates, writing detailed specifications for technology teams
- Liaise with technology teams as a subject matter expert, participating in user acceptance testing to ensure compliant solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations to implement new regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the institutional financial services industry, preferably at a large sell-side investment bank
- In-depth knowledge of major global derivatives trade reporting regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II)
- Proven experience in gathering and writing business requirements and functional specifications for technology teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data manipulation using tools like Microsoft Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Hands-on experience with modern data and workflow management platforms such as Airtable, Databricks, and Jira
- Direct experience in regulatory intelligence, regulatory change management, or compliance advisory with a technology focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex topics into clear insights for various audiences
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
