What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review property valuations to ensure compliance with Federal/State laws and risk policies
- Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to assess collateral documentation
- Communicate with internal and external clients to gather required collateral documentation
- Perform detailed evaluations of collateral to ensure adherence to portfolio and investor guidelines
- Identify and address escalated collateral issues while maintaining compliance with regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of four years of mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience
- At least three years of continuous collateral review experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client relations
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- FHA DE (CHUMS) / VA SAR/LAPP certification
- Knowledge of appraisal compliance and generally accepted appraisal rules
- Experience using appraisal and market evaluation tools
- Proficiency in mortgage automated processing systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and training
