      Primary Responsibilities: Contributes to the procurement strategy through development of enterprise-wide category strategies with respective internal business leads. This will involve:

      • Ensuring appropriate vertical and regional stakeholder engagement, including senior executives and successfully embed a formal, fact-based Strategic Sourcing and Category Management process.
      • Understanding business requirements, demand patterns, market dynamics, supplier economics, to anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues and to optimize sourcing approach, fostering competition to support positive negotiated outcomes.
      • Identifying elements of category strategy with global, national, regional or sub-region/local leverage potential
      • Recommend alternatives to continuously gain customer buy-in and endorsement.
      • Translate strategies into detailed category plans with set of measurable actions and targets with focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
      • Develop and maintain high quality deliverables (e.g. RFx, Cost Analysis, Evaluation Tools, Presentations, Negotiation Guides and Contractual Documents)
      • Align category targets with each business vertical and identify category “challenges” and manage appropriate solutions.
      • Be highly persuasive and capable of building consensus, despite potential disagreements or complexity
      • Measurement and presentation of results against defined targets
      • Ensure common sourcing approaches across all verticals and regions for execution & implementation
      • Forms and leads cross functional strategic sourcing teams of varying staff levels to address specific opportunities of varying complexity
      • Leads development & negotiation of complex agreements with key strategic suppliers
      • Manage key strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness with focus on TCO
      • Act as a liaison between Business Units, appropriate internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Security, AP, etc.), and third-party suppliers, to ensure business objectives are achieved
      • Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations
      • Develop and manage risk mitigation plans relating to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options and material availability
      • Work closely and interact continually with Director of Indirect Procurement to identify performance/project issues and continuously implement initiatives to upgrade technical, business and interpersonal skills
      • Work closely and partner with the VP of IT on the design and development of the VMO office for the IT organization.

      Minimum Education/Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree required in relevant business or technical discipline. Masters Degree Preferred
      • 10 plus years of stakeholder facing procurement experience with demonstrated ability to negotiate related highly technical and/or complex contracts
      • Strong interpersonal, influencing and people management skills
      • Experience in a field services company or in a facility management role highly preferred
      • Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized, and excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
      • Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes/methods and systems (Coupa experience a plus)
      • Excellent analytical and financial acumen
      • Strong project management skills
      • Ability to effectively lead/influence key stakeholders and motivate a team, partly from a distance
      • Strong presentation skills and executive presence necessary to achieve (business) acceptance of procurement practices and procedures, metrics, budgeting/forecasting routines and changes thereto
