What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute communications strategies to enhance the employer's reputation in new and existing markets
- Build and maintain relationships with local media and influencers
- Craft clear and impactful messaging for various target audiences
- Monitor media coverage and prepare executive-facing briefings for interviews and events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for technology demonstrations and crisis communication planning
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, or technology communications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with local media
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with the consumer tech media landscape
- Proficiency in Google Workspace Suite or similar software
- Willingness to travel domestically (20-30%)
