What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and approve move-in and annual recertification files for accuracy and compliance
- Provide feedback to Compliance Specialists on necessary corrections and improvements
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex compliance questions
- Prepare compliance reports for investors, state agencies, and internal leadership
- Mentor Compliance Specialists and collaborate with management on training needs and process improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrated expertise in affordable housing compliance, particularly with LIHTC and housing program requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Experience with compliance audits for investors, state agencies, or internal purposes
- Proficiency with property management and compliance software preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or Rent Café
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff
- Knowledge of compliance trends and best practices in the multifamily housing sector
