What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review commercial loan applications for approval or decline
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial performance and potential fraud
- Assist the Credit Department to proactively identify potential delinquencies and defaults
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements for the lending platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting for borrowing facilities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3+ years of commercial underwriting experience at a bank, financial institution, or fintech company
- Strong analytical skills with thorough understanding of financial statements (P&L, BS, CF)
- Experience with underwriting/managing various loan products, including asset-based loans and credit cards
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Excel, and SQL
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and self-starter abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in fintech or startup environments
- Background in portfolio management and/or workout experience with distressed assets
- Familiarity with non-performing loans (NPLs) and restructuring debt strategies
