What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Advocate for and execute cybersecurity processes and practices to protect organizational data
- Design technical solutions for network protection, endpoint security, and access control
- Remain updated on information security trends and emerging threats
- Assess and execute security measures in a layered approach to safeguard the organization
- Assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff within the cybersecurity team

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related field; or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant information security experience
- Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management techniques, frameworks, and industry/regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Visio

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant security certifications
- Experience with healthcare insurance industry, especially BCBS plans
- Familiarity with frameworks/regulations such as NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Knowledge of cloud security controls (AWS/Azure)
- Experience conducting security and privacy risk assessments and audits
