What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the organization's data ecosystem
- Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Information Management program and convene a Data Governance Working Group
- Establish information management policies, processes, and controls in collaboration with stakeholders
- Identify data quality initiatives and foster a culture of data accountability across the organization
- Mentor and guide team members in data governance best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must reside in the United States and be willing to travel for biannual retreats
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in data governance, data management, and analytics
- Strong communication skills to convey complex governance concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in data governance tools and querying relational databases using SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's or doctoral degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Experience in data governance within the higher education sector
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Background in regulatory or policy compliance related to data management
- Passion for higher education and its associated challenges
