      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review coding-related claim edits, payer denials, and create appeal letters when appropriate
      - Perform focused coding, charge, and documentation audits
      - Identify coding and documentation trends and provide education to coding teams and clinical providers
      - Collaborate with denials and release of information teams for appeals process
      - Review monthly and quarterly educational material for accuracy

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in coding and claims management
      - Certification as a Coding Specialist from the American Health Information Management Association
      - Associate Degree or equivalent experience (7 years may substitute for degree)
      - Proven ability to perform coding audits and identify trends
      - Strong written communication skills for creating accurate appeal letters

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a healthcare-related coding environment
      - Familiarity with payer denials and appeals processes
      - Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
      - Ability to educate and train staff on coding standards and practices
      - Strong analytical skills to assess coding trends and documentation accuracy
