What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and manage diesel emission reduction projects, ensuring compliance and effectiveness in reducing emissions
- Manage program budgets and funding, ensuring fiscal accountability and timely disbursement of funds
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and partnerships to enhance diesel reduction initiatives
- Conduct technical and policy analyses to inform program design and decision-making
- Represent the Air Quality Program in collaborations and public communications regarding diesel reduction initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ten years of total experience and/or education in environmental-based work
- Experience in transportation decarbonization and emissions reduction projects
- Experience with climate and energy-related work
- Demonstrated competence in project management and budgeting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience incorporating environmental justice considerations into environmental or government work
- Familiarity with developing and administering complex incentive programs
- Background in air quality management and policy analysis
