- Establish and lead the Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics function. Focusing on defining and evolving the future state of BI in alignment with Cotiviti’s objectives; including managing data analysis, interpretation, and delivery of insights.
- Responsible for the overall management of the BI and analytics division resources that support internal and external BI and analytics for the following, but not limited to, areas: risk adjustment (including retrieval, coding, and submissions), quality (including HEDIS, CMS 5-star, retrieval, and abstraction), network (including clinical and cost applications), and consumer engagement.
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with client services, clinical coding, informatics, data governance, software engineering, infrastructure, informatics, and operations. Reporting on the status of current projects, identifying issues and assessing their impact, and proactively recommending solutions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to managers by effectively evaluating and monitoring performance, schedule, assessing variances from the established plan, and overseeing the execution of any necessary corrective action.
- Focused on the development of the team, leveraging resources to help employees grow skillsets, encourage mentorship, and support their careers. Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
- Lead onshore employees, offshore employees, onshore contractors, and offshore contractors to deliver enterprise data and visualization solutions aimed at creating high quality, reliable and timely business insights.
- Enhance data quality and integrity through routine audits and adoption of best practices.
- Establish KPIs for critical functions as well as short- and long-term goals.
- Efficiently manage dependencies and navigate bottlenecks to boost team efficiency, streamlining processes for clear execution, proactively tackle and resolve challenges in cross-functional coordination and organization alignment.
- Drive comprehensive evaluations of business needs, design and implement data solutions that drive business impact. Turning available data into scalable, efficient, and automated solutions.
- Develop and communicate project plans and schedules based on a clear understanding of stakeholder requirements and information on project performance, schedule, quality, and cost.
- Manage BI systems and tools, continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in BI and data automation to advocate best practices.
- Responsible for ensuring that the department maintains auditable controls ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) compliance.
- Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction. Required
- Must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities, effectively managing business intelligence and analytics teams, direct reports, and indirect managers.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and an understanding of IT governance framework.
- 5+ years of leading Lean Six Sigma principles/concepts for process optimization or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are a must.
- 5+ years of experience working in a Data warehouse/BI environment with robust ETL and Reporting skills, with 3+ years of data architectural experience.
- Technical knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or equivalent Extract Transformation Load (ETL) / Business intelligence (BI) tools
- Proven ability to automate reporting/insights with BI tools and/or tech first models (AI, NLP, etc.)
- Experience working with a large volume of data in a Healthcare environment.
- Strong client interaction skills – ability to communicate business and technical issues in a simplified, understandable manner to both financial and technical audiences.
- 5+ years of Medicare Advantage or other healthcare experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or another field demonstrating technical expertise is preferred.
Overview
The Sr. Director, Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics has a passion for analyzing business data and delivering critical future facing insights that help maintain Cotiviti’s competitive advantage. With a focus on maximizing collaboration, the Sr. Dir of BI and Analytics will leverage collective expertise to achieve the best outcomes for the business. Setting strategy and developing a roadmap to support a data driven organization with large growth initiatives. This role will also set the standard of reporting excellence and direct our automation efforts while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
This role is within Cotiviti’s RQC business division. This position will interface with key business and technical stakeholders as well as clients. This role will be responsible for the data warehouse, dashboards, and reporting, including end-to-end delivery of new capabilities and enhancements, requirements, architecture, design, development, and testing. As the Sr. Director of BI & Analytics, this position must also hire, encourage, coach, and build high-performing teams.

Qualifications
Base compensation ranges from $165,000 to $190,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
