      OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE/ SCOPE

      We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated leader with a strong discovery and research background in cell therapy to join our Oncology Cell Therapy Innovation team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cell therapy and gene engineering, as well as a deep understanding of innate cell biology, cancer/immune cell biology in the tumor microenvironment, CAR engineering, gene editing, and viral vector design.

      • Develop and implement research strategies and project plans for the development of novel cell-based therapies.
      • Lead a team of scientists and researchers in the design, execution, and analysis of preclinical and clinical studies.
      • Oversee the development and characterization of cellular therapies, including NK, gamma delta T cells, and other adoptive cell transfer approaches.
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with academic and industry partners to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in immunology and cell therapy.
      • Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools for the development of novel cell therapies.
      • Manage and mentor a team of immunologists, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.
      • Ensure successful execution of preclinical and clinical studies, including regulatory submissions and IND-enabling investigations.
      • Determine project priorities and timetables, analyze and evaluate data from preclinical and clinical investigations.
      • Create scientific reports and papers and deliver presentations to both internal and external audiences.

      EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

      • PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Virology or closely related discipline with at least 10 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
      • Proven track record of leading successful preclinical and clinical studies in the development of cell-based therapies.
      • Strong scientific and technical expertise in immunology and cell therapy, including knowledge of cellular immunology, CAR-T cell therapies, and adoptive cell transfer methods.
      • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of scientists and researchers.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
      • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Top of Form

      Base Salary Range: 194,600.00 to 278,000.00 Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.

      The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
