- Our nursing and medical assistances, and providers, to enable competence development, staff development and training, workflow and process improvement, all this the ultimate objective of optimizing and ensuring a safe, high-quality, and efficient care model,
- Will collaborate with Staff Development, Risk, Safety and Quality, Pharmacy, Infection Prevention, Laboratory Services, and others to ensure our staff, our environment of care, and systems, process and workflows all support, align and adhere to the various federal, state and accreditation agencies that we participate with,
- Will collaborate with Medical Staff, Revenue Cycle, Facilities Management, IT&S, EPIC teams, etc. to ensure smooth transitions of providers when they join or leave the organization; plus when we open or renovate a new practice location, and
- Work to align and integrate the HOPD and medical group into VHC Health, its mission, vision and anchors.
- Minimum of 7 years working as a clinician or nurse in an ambulatory setting with ideally progressive leadership experience
- Strong understanding and experience working in a matrix organization and leading by influence
- Excellent communication, good judgement and strong decision-making skills, critical thinking, relationship and ability to create engagement with physicians, and other leaders
- Proven ability to perform strategic planning, risk and opportunity assessments, and lead successful implementation
- Expert understanding of operations, transformation and change management with a proven record of demonstrating success; lean / six sigma experience preferred
- Expert understanding of process optimization, and redesign with the ability to develop performance management and benchmarking to support best practices

Purpose & Scope:
The primary purpose of this position is focused on leading the design, organization, workflow and delivery of clinical care and provide clinical decision support across the physician services enterprise in-partnership with the Vice-President, Medical Affairs, the Systems, AVP Staff Development, and the various Division / Service Line Dyad Leaders. The focus of the Senior Director, Clinical Operations leader will be on and to ensure an optimally safe clinical environment, one that ensures safety, high-quality care, and a patient experience that exceeds expectations and builds trust and loyalty, and ensures that our systems, processes and workflows are efficient and uniform.
