- Create the infrastructure that makes the central marketing organization function effectively and efficiently
- Determine the artifacts, meeting cadences, behaviors and culture that will deliver the first-ever centralized global marketing function at this scale
- Translate sales and marketing strategy into actionable goals, objectives and measurable KPIs/ key results
- Identify, track and help guide priority workstreams across the entire organization
- Lead development of the biopharma sales and marketing annual/quarterly/monthly strategic planning, including shaping strategic narrative and providing oversight and guidance for operational and financial inputs
- Partner with Finance to shape / track the annual operating budget across the entire central marketing org, working closely with the LT to define both strategic project and resourcing needs and tracking budget throughout the year
- Establish and manage holistic annual plan and ensure the team is hitting key milestones
- Support Strategic Initiatives & Planning VP with weekly leadership team meetings, including setting of agenda and driving actionable next steps
- Shape strategy, development and agendas for leadership team offsites
- Partner with Communications lead to shape overall communications strategy and comprehensive annual roadmap to ensure a coordinated communications approach that maps back to the strategic priorities and objectives
- Partner with People Experience lead to drive a coordinated approach to semester goal setting across the Chief Marketing Officer and the leadership team
- Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for advanced degree
- At minimum 15 years of experience in marketing and/or operations
- Operations, people management, team effectiveness, and leadership experience including collaboration with cross-function teams
- Global experience in working with different markets that span various cultures, languages, and time zones
- Proven track record of delivering business performance
- Demonstrated history of leading innovation/transformation/operations and drive for optimization/excellence
- Track record for helping sustain strong cultures and role model for Pfizer Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy)
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, to take accountability and to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to drive collaboration and foster highly productive cross-functional relationships
- Demonstrated agility and ability to drive program / initiative completion in expedited timelines while identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
- Ability to work effectively in unchartered territory and comfort with uncertainty
- Successful track record of creating and executing marketing strategies with accountability for decisions and business outcomes
- Strong analytical prowess to conduct root cause analyses to diagnoses and prioritize the right problem/solution (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
- Executive presence and demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Experience with ownership of financial / budget and operational planning
- Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage and coach direct reports and agile teams
- Exceptional, proactive organization and communication skills a must
- Familiarity with life sciences / pharmaceutical a plus

The Senior Director is a highly visible and very influential role working with the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Planning and the rest of the newly established Marketing Leadership Team to build the annual marketing, sales strategy and objectives, and all associated execution and operations. This role will not only play a critical role in setting the organization-wide marketing strategy but will also be responsible for translating that strategy into actionable goals, an annual operating plan with budget request and oversight, and a biopharma-wide marketing plan. The role will regularly engage the Chief Marketing Officer and leadership team, product sales, and marketing leaders across Primary Care, Oncology and Specialty Care, as well as finance, and communications. This role will oversee a team focused on planning excellence and operational effectiveness.

This team will fuel the new central marketing engine plus seek and articulate tangible proof that it is working.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,800.00 to $309,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned locally, the US Salary range provided does not apply to the Tampa, FL or any EXUS locations.Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
