- Oversee strategy, development, execution, and optimization of all owned digital brand assets including but not limited to websites, emails/newsletters, video, apps, push notifications, podcasts, and organic + paid social media.
- Develop annual goals and benchmarks for digital products and activations, reviewing often while consistently educating and communicating results to goal with direct reports, cross-functional groups, and Senior Leadership Team.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing group to provide insights for owned and paid digital marketing campaigns, educating on digital best practices, helping to set benchmarks, and providing insights and optimization on analytics provided.
- Work cross-functionally with product team to lead the strategy and development of best-in-class websites, apps, and other digital brand extensions.
- Work cross-functionally with analytics team to track and acquire performance metrics and data to continuously grow and optimize digital executions and results.
- Work cross-functionally with editorial team to help drive optimization of ‘viewership’ for editorial digital content across website, newsletters, apps and more and seek opportunities to drive digital audiences to linear and OTT to help support viewership goals.
- Set strategy, educate, and manage a digital team of 8+ full time staff, freelancers, and agencies across all digital activations which include short-form video content, organic and paid social, influencer engagement, podcast development, apps, email, and more.
- Monitor competitor and industry trends to ensure News 12 is utilizing best in class digital activations.
- Develop and administered educational workshops and trainings for C-suite Executives, Managing Directors, and VPs at News 12, as well as external clients, about the ongoing changes in social media and the digital landscape
- Create social media strategy, goals and benchmarks for News 12 talent. Work with talent to improve social media presence, grow personal & News 12 brands while seamlessly incorporating both in order to support tune-in and acquisition efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external software development teams on developing new website functionality, design, and management
- Optimize and grow monetization strategies for existing digital products and platforms and lead new business development opportunities all to support annual digital revenue goal of $15MM+
- Support sales teams with ideation, development, and execution of digital opportunities for current clients and new business proposals.
- Manage department budget, full-time and freelance staff, third-party vendors, technology platforms, biz dev partners, and more, including (but not limited to) sourcing, on-boarding, and reviewing.
- Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, marketing, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in digital strategy with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role
- Experience in web development, mobile applications, emerging technologies, and digital product rollouts
- Experience with linear and OTT brands, ideally within the news space
- Experience monetizing digital platforms and effectively laddering up digital strategy for the biggest revenue upside
- Strong editorial judgement, storytelling, and written skills with big picture and forward-thinking attitude
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and continuous improvement
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously and within budget
- Proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information to stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional diverse teams
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive project decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to work on developing the go forward strategy for award-winning networks News 12’s hyper-local linear channels and our News 12 New York OTT channel and their respective digital (.com, email, apps, podcasts) and social media platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the network's digital vision and overall strategy designed to engage, retain, and acquire viewers efficiently, drive digital growth and monetization. This is a leadership position that requires exceptional team management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
