      Job Summary

      The Senior Director, Marketing, is responsible for leading the Americas field marketing team to develop and deliver a marketing strategy that supports the attainment of annual sales revenue objectives . Drives segmented value propositions, digital awareness and demand generation, and brand preference to achieve outcomes for the region. Drives revenue growth through integrated marketing programs. Helps to define and support the alignment between global marketing functions and field marketing. Ensures that program design and delivery are aligned with global frameworks and that local requirements are met. Shares insights and best practices with other regions.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead planning and execution of marketing plans and strategies in the Americas region- LATAM, Canada, and US: implement and monitor effective and customer-led marketing plans in service to sales goals

      • Mobilize Field Marketing teams to activate these plans with the Field Sales teams

      • Drive demand generation: Leverage both digital marketing campaigns (including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising) and non-digital campaigns (events, telemarketing, speed-dating) to generate leads within new segments and expansion opportunities within existing accounts throughout the region

      • Build integrated programs execution in the region aligning demand generation, public relations, digital marketing, social media and social selling, segment marketing, brand awareness

      • Drive consistency in messaging in the region, aligned with global messaging, by leveraging corporate communications, brand, and content

      • Implement campaigns that effectively target segments with relevant products and solutions to drive cross-sell and up-sell

      • Ensure global consistency: Implement global processes and systems across the region

      • Improve marketing performance: Enhance performance orientation by measuring performance targets that are aligned with business outcomes

      • Ensure effective rollout of global programs across the Americas region to achieve scale and increase the global customer experience

      • Drive efficient relationships: Manage relationships with marketing services, partner marketing, sales and other groups to achieve effective and efficient regional outcomes

      • Align with field sales leaders to ensure ongoing agreement on priorities, adjusting as needed to support changing market conditions

      • Support a culture of segmentation and testing to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of field marketing programs development

      People Leadership

      • Communicates and Translates Strategy - Be able to translate AMER GTM strategy to clear goals, actions, and objectives .

      • Effectively communicate and drive global and field initiatives/passdown in the region.

      • Consistently maneuvers comfortably through complex organizational dynamics while building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.

      • Act as role model of Equinix's values and culture, promoting collaborations and enable diverse and inclusive work environment that in turns uplifts employees' senses of belonging.

      Thought Leadership

      • Be able to lead through ambiguity that linked to unique economy set up and political landscape within AMER.

      • Solid experience in driving growing AMER business with reasonable balance between global consistency and location needs.

      • Understands the stages of change in GTM transformation, provides leadership and guidance to help employees navigate transformation.

      • Demonstrate a gility and openness to new ideas and perspectives and at the same time leading change in times of uncertainty and ambiguity.

      Result Leadership

      • Hold self and others accountable for contributing to AMER Sales revenue and be able to apply sound judgement to leverage cross functional marketing teams such as Partner, Product and Solution Marketing and Global Campaign on program rollout into the region.

      • Be able to make difficult decision , trade off, deliver difficult conversations when expectation is not met.

      Qualifications

      • 10+ years demonstrated track record in leading marketing teams including people managers

      • Proven record of working with sales to meet or exceed pipeline and annual growth targets

      • Experience of leveraging modern B2B marketing tools and implementing programs such as ABM

      • Experience of marketing to a range of customer segments across enterprise and mid-market, and various industries including network and mobile providers, Cloud and IT services, content providers, financial services companies, and Public Sector (Fed & SLED)

      • Ability to influence and build relationships with a range of internal stakeholders (especially sales) to drive customer value

      • Proven skills in motivating teams, planning initiatives, designating priorities, and being decisive when faced with ambiguity

      • Understanding of digital tactics and how to employ them in a demand generation approach

      The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000 • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $172,000 to $293,000 • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $159,000 to $271,000 Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
