Develop & lead Global Logistics strategy

Provides leadership and strategic direction to Global Logistics..

Provides key logistics input into the development of supply chain networks ( both inbound and outbound ), as well as organizational capabilities, necessary to support future business growth.

Owns the Global ocean freight spend, and manage relationships with 3PLs
-
Accountable for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Logistics Operating Budget inclusive of all transportation and warehousing costs; lead efforts to optimize transportation and warehousing costs

Works with systems support personnel to ensure the maximum usage of SAP and identify / develop new solutions throughout the Global Logistics organization

Develops and implements Category/Division Global Supply Chain margin improvement and Funding the Growth Programs.

Partners with engineering to identify and develop automation solutions

Acts as a functional resource and logistics subject matter expert, providing support on task forces, acquisition studies, and major project support.

Accountable for adhering to CP and governmental guidelines
related to EOHS, Quality and Regulatory policies. Issues appropriate corporate communications regarding Situation Alerts. -
Understands the relationship planning, logistics, and manufacturing processes have on material and conversion cost

Knows the handling and storage requirements for finished goods

Promotes safety awareness and safe behavior

Develops contingency plans and strategies for any business interruption

Seeks input from internal and external customers about their needs and expectations to continually improve Logistics

Exploits data and information to identify and measure potential improvements

Focuses on the business with a Supply Chain perspective, seeing the Global Logistics as an integral component of the whole business

Networks with Category Supply Chain and business partners to drive joint identification and alignment of goals

Leverages knowledge of logistics suppliers to meet the needs of consumers and the trade

Understands the interrelationships of the five supply chain processes: plan, source, make, deliver and product commercialization, with respect to overall performance

Applies data and information to balance the various KPIs for optimizing Logistics performance

Uses Supply Chain data and analytical tools effectively including SAP and Business Warehouse

Exploits modeling tools and techniques to optimize sourcing and distribution systems
-
Displays a net corporate benefit mentality when making decisions

Provides continuous insights on costs and cost drivers to other business and Supply Chain partners
-
Bachelor or technical degree
-
10+ years Supply Chain experience,with at least 5 years Logistics Management experience
-
Logistics systems and process basic knowledge.

Strong leadership & engagement skills, experience of developing & implementing strategies in Global organizations
-
Ability to drive change across a Global Operation
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills

3PL management

Financial knowledge & understanding of logistics costs impact to the P&L

THE ROLE: SENIOR DIRECTOR GLOBAL LOGISTICS
Reports to: SVP, GSC Demand, Systems & eCommerce
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Scope of Responsibility:
TheSeniorDirector, Global Logistics is responsible for developing overall logistics service strategies, and effectively coordinating best practices across categories and divisions, while developing collaborative partnerships with both CP colleagues and third party logistics providers (3PLs). The Director must deliver the agreed to service and financial results by supporting the Divisions/subsidiaries in strategy implementation. The primary accountabilities of the role include Logistics financial performance,and quality service.
The Director, Global Logistics is an effective and valuable member of the management teams, to ensure delivery of divisional/subsidiary business results. The Director, Global Logistics is responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain distribution capabilities are aligned with customer expectations.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $222,000.00 - $248,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
