      Responsibilities:

      Clinical Oversight:

      • Ensures quality provision of medical, dietary and dental services in partnership with the on-site Director of Nursing (DON).
      • Implements a chart review system to ensure all medical documentation is complete and accurate including nursing notes, assessments, weight charts, seizure records, lab reports, bowel habit records, fluid intake records, etc.
      • Implement an incident report review system to ensure all medical incidents are handled in best nursing practices and compliance with Quest policies and procedures.
      • Tracks hospitalizations and reviews medication errors.
      • Implement tracking of all hospitalizations, addressing any trends and identifying prevention strategies.
      • Review all medication errors and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
      • Liaison between contract physician and nursing staff. Ensures physician recommendations are followed and physician is consulted on appropriate cases.

      Administration:

      • Ensure nursing department compliance with all state, federal and local regulations, including but not limited to Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and Department of Health (DOH) requirements.
      • Manages nursing department budgets in partnership with on-site DONs and facility administrators.
      • Establishes and manages goals for the nursing department through analysis and strategic planning consistent with the company mission.
      • Assist in the development and maintenance of all nursing policies and procedures.

      Staffing and Supervision:

      • Maintains and evaluates an environment that empowers and supports nurse managers in problem solving and in decision making to address identified issues.
      • Ensures availability of nursing leadership team members to accommodate staff education; to address resident care issues; to meet with family members unavailable during routine shift hours.
      • Recruit, interview, and hire Directors of Nursing, Nurse Educators and Assistant Directors of Nursing in partnership with on-site DONs and other nursing staff.
      • Establish clear performance expectations for all nursing staff, ensuring oversight of clinical skills and work product.
      • Provide performance feedback (coaching and development) to all direct reports consistent with Quest guidelines.

      Quest Leadership:

      • Function as a member of Quest’s Operations Team to include participation in regular meetings and appreciation events.
      • Provide medical guidance to Quest’s program leadership as needed.
      • Participate in Quest-wide disaster planning, including ensuring the provision of nursing services before, during and after disaster/emergencies.
      • Reports to work for scheduled shifts. May be scheduled to work other shifts, Holidays, and weekends in order to provide nursing coverage.
      • Reports to work during inclement weather to provide nursing coverage and assist with emergency procedures.

      Education and/or Work Experience

      • Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
      • Current unrestricted license as RN, ARNP or PA license in the state of Florida.
      • At least 5 years of RN experience and 1 year of Director of Nursing experience required.
      • Current valid Florida Driver License in good standing.
      • Prior work in long-term care medical facility required, ICF setting preferred.
      • Excellent multitasking and organization skills.
      • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
      • Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
