      As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology team, you will be responsible for leading various technical domains, overseeing the activities of multiple departments, and fostering collaboration across different technical areas. Your specialized knowledge will be utilized across different functions to promote the adoption and execution of advanced technical methodologies within diverse teams. This role is instrumental in helping the firm stay ahead of industry trends, adopt best practices, and embrace technological advancements.

      Job responsibilities

      • Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives
      • Directs management of multiple areas with strategic transactional focus
      • Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business
      • Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives
      • Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
      • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
      • Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
      • Strong background in financial technology and understanding of data-intensive applications
      • Expertise in Java programming and familiarity with Python and Angular
      • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS
      • Proficiency in Oracle database management and optimization
      • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale software development projects
      • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
      • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale
      • Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
      • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams
      • Experience in managing budgets and resources for software development projects

      • Experience working at code level
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
