      The Senior Director of Operations will direct administrative, clinical, and operational aspects of departments falling under the Senior Director's control. You will develop and implement quality management protocols. The Director recommends a change in policy, facilities, equipment, and programs to achieve the institution's objectives . They consult and advise Department Chairman /Institute Administrator on problems relating to the operations of the hospital/institute. This is a market leadership role with high visibility and business impact potential as evidenced by the over 500,000 imaging exams performed annually.

      • Responsibilities:

        • Oversees administrative, clinical, and operational aspects of departments falling under the Senior Director's control.
        • Responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective organizational structure in order to facilitate facility goals.
        • Establishes standards and expectations for patient satisfaction.
        • Promotes and maintains good patient and customer relations and performs patient / customer satisfaction assessment via surveys and questionnaires.
        • Monitors the environment and implements change to ensure patient comfort and safety, as well as for employees within their respective work areas.
        • Develops reporting mechanisms and key indicators to describe the workload volume and acuity, patient interventions, quality performance, clinical outcomes and productivity of the departments' operations and services.
        • Monitors, analyzes, trends, reports and recommends actions to the Department Chairman/Institute Administrator based on these indicators to improve personnel staffing patterns, service quality and/or productivity performance.
        • Directs the development and implementation of business plans for new or revised ventures and/or expansion of services and programs that may include the acquisition of other practices and/or services to include facilities as well as personnel.
        • Researches, performs analysis, compiles data and advises the Department Chairman/Institute Administrator relative to long-range planning strategies, department organization, financial forecasting, personnel management, patient relations, space and equipment, marketing strategies and external institution relations.
        • Ensures development and completion of the budgetary process for departments as related to annual operating and capital budgets, with respect to expenses, revenue and fee schedules, and ongoing financial monitors and reports.
        • Serves on appropriate committees and other groups as the administrative representative of the respective departments and disseminates information from other sources to the departments.
        • Promotes and maintains harmonious inter-intra departmental relationships and represents the departments in coordinating administrative and operational activities which interface with other departments.
        • Other duties as assigned.

        Education:

        • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance or equivalent, or Doctorate degree within a medical field.

        Certifications:

        • None required.

        Complexity of Work:

        • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
        • Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.

        Work Experience:

        • Four or more years in progressively responsible administrative and clinical management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
        • Offset: Bachelors degree and eight years experience

        Preferred Work Experience:

        • Has leadership experience with a large healthcare system.
        • Is proficient in public speaking and presenting data and metrics.
        • Has experience in both the clinical and operational components of radiology, all modalities.
        • Has strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
        • Is experienced in managing construction projects and complex vendor contracts.
        • Has a strong executive presence and is skilled at building and maintaining professional relationships across various organizational functions.

        Personal Protective Equipment:

        • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
