Lead the development and implementation of the pathology translational research program to identify biomarkers of predictive, safety, and prognostic utility and characterize the MoA of Genmab’s therapies.
Serve as function head on the Translational and Precision Medicine leadership team to drive strategy across the organization.
Oversee and manage the global pathology team (US and Netherlands), including the selection, training, and development of team members.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including drug discovery, in vivo pharmacology, translational medicine, translational research, non-clinical safety, data science, operations, and companion diagnostic teams to ensure alignment on research strategies.
Collaborate and manage external partnerships, including academic institutions and CROs to develop and execute research projects and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to develop and apply imaging algorithms, machine learning and deep learning models for analysis of large sets of pathology data to better understand our targets, clinical assets, and patients.
Promote the development of innovative approaches in the discovery and validation of biomarkers, including the use of digital/spatial biology and multiplex IF to streamline tumor analysis enabling real-time decisions.
MD, MD/PhD, DVM or DVM/PhD degree in Pathology, with board certification in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Pathology in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of success in drug development.
Strong knowledge of the drug development process, including preclinical and clinical development, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with digital/computational pathology methods to characterize tumor contexture from H&E and IHC images.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Experience with regulatory submissions, interactions with regulatory agencies a plus.
Strong leadership skills managing and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

The Role :
As the Senior Director of the Pathology team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the pathology precision medicine research programs within Genmab. You will oversee a team of scientists and researchers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the development of innovative therapeutic solutions.
You will be responsible for evaluating the safety and efficacy of new compounds preclinically and clinically with the goal of advancing personalized cancer treatments for patients.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$206,250.00---$343,750.00The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
