      Our Senior Director of Product Management for the Platforms and Product Partnerships team will define and lead the roadmap for the software that supports the Sonos Experience Platform. So much of the magic of Sonos is expressed through the software, and this product management leader will have responsibility for the software platform that powers the Sonos smart speaker system. Our Platform and Product Partnerships team underpins all of our global product categories (Home, Portables, Professional, etc.) and will be key to us unlocking and supporting new product categories that are under development. Our Platform also interfaces with multiple strategic partners such as Apple, Spotify, Amazon, etc. as well as 100+ integrations across content and voice.

      You will lead a team of talented product managers and support a developer ecosystem of content providers, voice assistants, internal Sonos applications, and third party smart devices. You will develop a comprehensive, multi-year strategy, born from customer, business and technology insights. You will ensure this strategy reflects a broad range of integrated experiences that uniquely differentiates Sonos for customers and for our ecosystem partners. You will ensure our technology roadmap aligns with the strategy and supports Sonos growth ambitions and scale. You are highly strategic, business minded and have a relentless focus on delivering customer value.

      Location: This role is hybrid, requiring some time in the office. The ideal candidate is willing to relocate (relocation package provided by Sonos) or based in commutable distance to one of our US office locations - Ideally Boston or Seattle. For the right candidate, we will consider having this role based in Santa Barbara or San Francisco. Sonos will not cover weekly long-distance commute travel.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Define the internal and external customer requirements necessary to achieve our experience outcomes for Platforms and Partnerships organization. Use technology landscape and requirements from Sonos Product Category Leaders and external ecosystem partners to develop a prioritization and investment flow to support holistic business and experiential outcomes.

      • Inspire the company and your team by leading the Platform and Partnerships product strategy, aligning the team on clear objectives in partnership with all key functions to deliver effectively and continuously.

      • Work with key stakeholders across Product Category Leaders, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Corporate Development, etc.) and outside (Spotify, Apple, Google, Amazon, etc.) the product organization to lead the development of long-term Platform and Partnerships strategy that delivers innovative new capabilities and experiences, balancing feasibility, cost, scale and time-to-market.

      • Hire and develop product management talent, and empower team members to do their best work, grow their impact, express their creativity, and realize their ambitions on behalf of our experience and our customers.

      • Develop and advocate for a platform strategy that enriches and differentiates the developer experience and enables Sonos to deliver securely, efficiently and at scale.

      • Help conceive of and prioritize key enabling technology bets that ensure Sonos remains the innovation leader for customers and partners that seek a premium sound system.

      • Determine the short- and long-term Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for our platform investments -- factoring technology, business and customer outcomes -- and hold yourself and the team accountable to high-impact delivery.

      What You’ll Need:

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Domain Expertise: 10+ years Product Management experience in a highly technical field and/or software + hardware products. Deep understanding and appreciation for blending platform capabilities with customer needs and market trends. Experience creating compelling business cases with proven business impact.

      • This role is office-based. To be qualified candidates must be able to be commutable to the Boston or Seattle office 3x/week.

You are adept at storytelling and have the ability to translate customer needs into product strategy. Demonstrated experience hiring, leading and developing diverse, inclusive teams.

      • Strategic Thinking: You identify opportunities based on customer needs and data, you connect the dots on patterns, anticipate potential obstacles and can respond quickly to changing circumstances and remain fluid.

      • Collaboration: You thrive on working well with others and have demonstrated success working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders

      • Customer Orientation: You empathize with the customer (internal and external) and can anticipate their needs. You are motivated by the desire to build something that customers love and deliver experience directly to customers while ensuring positive business outcomes.

      • This role is office-based. While the preferred locations are Boston and Seattle, we may consider hiring this role in San Francisco or Santa Barbara. In this scenario, to be qualified candidates must be able to be commutable to the San Francisco or Santa Barbara office 3x/week.

      At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:

      $243,000 and $269,500
