Role Summary/ Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Director - Product Management/KinetiX will be responsible for assisting with strategy, roadmap, and feature definition to create the best solutions for our customers and industry. This Senior Direct - Product Management will be accountable for Wabtec’s Kinetix Product Line within Digital Intelligence. Kinetix is a product family that includes wayside inspection systems including vision-based technologies. The successful candidate will analyze market and competitive conditions and participate as part of the team that lays out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. This role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides cross-functional leadership, building bridges between development, sales and marketing, engineering, supply chain, etc. This position has overall P&L accountability for the KinetiX product line. The commercial organization for KinetiX will report to this person.

Additionally, you will:

• Outline NPI product development strategy, resource, and execution plan in-line with the allocated investment funding for the year; Work with Engineering and Project Management to ensure overall product deliverables to the end-customer in line with budget and customer contract milestones.
• Define overall portfolio and product strategy to create a detailed multi-generational product roadmap documented and maintained.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, product owners, user experience, project, dev ops and services to formulate and sets the vision for product strategy and execution. Cross-functional teams include both partner and Wabtec onshore and offshore teams.
• Responsible for implementing the full product planning process, including business case definition, market / competitive analysis, target customer identification and growth forecast targets.
• Directly responsible for commercial organization including managing a sales pipeline, forecasting, delivering orders to support sustainable growth.
• Drive communication of modernization of the product family to both customers and internal constituents
• Work closely with end-users to capture feedback for further refinement of product user stories for verification and validation of the final production product release.
• Responsible for acceptance and definition of done to ensure development deliverables align with product vision and roadmap.
• Work and execute on inorganic opportunities to drive revenue growth, scale, and augment existing capabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or Business.
• Demonstrated commercial intensity and a relentless drive to win and grow the product line and revenue.
• Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills.
• Willingness to travel to up to 25% for support customer discovery and product sessions.
• Familiarity with product delivery, development and deployment process flows and activities with a demonstrated capacity for Product conceptualization.
• A minimum of 10 years of product management or software engineering experience or,
• A minimum of 5 years of transportation/rail industry experience
• Willingness to travel to up to 25% of your time both inside/outside to support customer discovery and product sessions.

Business Acumen:

• Strong business analysis, problem solving, operations, project management and/or prior product management experience.
• Evangelizes new technology and identifies new opportunities based on product trends.
• Able to define and set commercial pricing strategy for tiered product/ services offerings.

Leadership:

• Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
• Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practice.
