Job Summary
As a Senior Project Director at Worley, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and project management expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects in accordance with contractual obligations. You will define project goals, develop comprehensive plans, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve these goals. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from overseeing safety initiatives to managing complex project execution, all while adhering to Worley's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring projects are completed in alignment with contractual obligations and corporate policies.
· Define project objectives, develop strategic methods for accomplishing them, and maintain a deep understanding of customer objectives and contract terms.
· Plan, organize, manage, and control projects in accordance with Worley's approved policies, procedures, and systems.
· Supervise project personnel through subordinate leaders, exhibiting strong leadership skills to achieve project goals.
· Typically manage a single mega project or multiple complex projects/programs with high risk.
· Visualize and design innovative concepts and solutions related to technical/functional projects.
· Possess a broad knowledge of business operations and the ability to implement organizational changes within the project scope.
· Act as a proposal manager for large and mega projects.
· Collaborate with executive management on significant matters impacting the organization's business results.
· Operate with broad management authority, with work reviewed to ensure alignment with Worley's vision and mission.
· Assign project work, provide technical guidance, and review work for accuracy and adequacy.
· Oversee safety plans for multiple contractors involved in the project and champion a strong safety culture.
· Lead cross-functional internal and external project teams, motivating and monitoring team performance.
· Create a collaborative team environment, establish clear expectations, and provide leadership to third-party team members.
· Utilize Worley's project delivery methodology and associated tools for large and complex projects.
· Manage procurement, subcontracting, and materials planning, including complex scope changes.
· Track project cost and schedule, forecast trends, and implement change control processes.
· Manage cash flow requirements, including accounts receivable and work in progress.
· Coordinate the preparation of integrated project execution plans for mega projects or complex projects.
· Implement regular project progress reviews and controls.
· Apply forward planning with schedule to resource the project appropriately.
· Incorporate Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives into project plans.
· Execute successful workshare execution strategies.
· Effectively communicate proposals, reports, and project updates to staff, management, and customers.
· Resolve conflicts and issues within the project team, including customers.
· Develop and execute complex monthly KPI reports and communication plans for customers and key stakeholders.
· Identify, assess, and manage commercial and legal risks in contracts, preparing mitigation plans.
· Maintain a detailed risk register, regularly communicating risk status.
· Align project contingencies with the risk register.

· University Degree or equivalent in a related field or applicable discipline.
· Professional registration in the local jurisdiction.
· Certified Program Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM).
· Significant years of experience, including relevant supervisory, project management, and/or technical experience.
· Experience in Workshare, EPCM, EPC, including site assignments, and working in multi-cultural/multi-national environments.
· Demonstrated experience leading large and mega projects with high risk and complex commercial engagements.
· Strong safety advocate and leader with HSE leadership experience.
· Mastery of Worley project delivery methodology and tools.
· Expertise in project cost control, scheduling, estimating, and financial reporting.
· Experience with coordinating and managing complex scope changes.
· Proven ability to manage and mitigate risks.
· Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
· Proficiency in managing contractual issues and litigations.
