      As Senior Director R&D work closely with the Senior Director of Wireless Technology to manage and oversee all R&D operations. Serve as the primary point of contact and line manager for local leadership team members. Foster a culture of leadership within the company and ensure smooth information flow between all parties. Responsible for executing company strategy at the local level and contributing to the overall success of the organization. As a member of both the local management and global R&D teams, establish and maintain an efficient development process that is integrated into the larger R&D landscape. Ensure that the company has the necessary workforce to meet its business needs.

      Your tasks

      People Leadership:

      • Actively convey and promote the company culture, values, code of conduct, and internal rules
      • Establish and foster company leadership values and culture
      • Coach and lead team leaders, project leaders, and content leaders while actively managing conflicts
      • Grow and retain employees, and drive talent development and retention
      • Responsible for mandatory staff training, setting objectives, and managing performance of team members
      • Deputy of Sonova Communications MD

      Organization:

      • Contribute to the organizational development of R&D and execute complex change projects
      • Support R&D contributions to product maintenance in context with post-launch engineering processes
      • Infrastructure:
      • Responsible for workplace and infrastructure planning, including equipment, network, computers, and applications
      • Business Process Owner for on-site applications according to Application Security Directive
      • Coordination with Corporate IT

      Workforce Supply:

      • Responsible for Operative and Strategic Workforce Planning, including collaboration with external partners and service

      Your profile

      • University degree in Engineering or Science, PhD is a plus
      • Further education in Leadership and Business Administration
      • 8+ years’ work experience in leadership of interdisciplinary teams
      • Strong experience in strategic planning aligned with business needs, and adept in working with agile processes and international/multi-site teams with proficiency in change management
      • Previous experience in project management is preferred
      • Demonstrates self-motivation, reliability, and positive self-control, with an ability to think systematically and creatively
      • Maintains a flexible and open-minded approach to work, displaying responsibility and accountability for their actions
      • Possesses a system thinking mindset, allowing for efficient problem-solving and decision-making
      • Exhibits strong social competencies, including empathetic and credible team-player attributes, with excellent communication, listening, and coaching skills
      • Displays adeptness in leadership competencies, including conflict resolution, coaching and developing others, and leading changes
      • Fluent in both written and spoken English and proficient in French
