      Snowflake’s Sales Operations organization is seeking an experienced Sales Strategy and Operations leader to lead our Sales Planning and Sales Compensation team. In this role, you will own and be responsible for executing the end-to-end sales planning and compensation processes at Snowflake. You will design sales compensation programs, policies, and practices to support Snowflake’s strategic priorities and revenue goals. You will develop the blueprint for Snowflake’s annual sales planning process and ensure key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Product teams are aligned for execution.

      The successful candidate will be data-driven, have a proven track record of scaling sales organizations, possess a broad understanding of sales, channel, and business operations within the SaaS industry, and can combine strategic, analytical, big-picture thinking to drive detailed, operational excellence. This person must be a hands-on leader that embraces and drives change to ensure productivity and efficiency across our sales organization.

      IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

      • Lead the annual sales planning process and ensure successful execution of all planning activities--including territory design, headcount deployment, quota allocation, and teaming agreements.
      • Partner with field leadership to design sales incentive programs that motivate sellers to achieve/exceed their sales and revenue goals.
      • Support field escalations and provide clarification on the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures as required.
      • Own the global annual hiring plan for all sales reps, sales managers and sales engineers within the global GTM organization.
      • Lead territory operations across geographies, including structuring sales territories, prioritizing target accounts, setting policy for and managing account assignment changes.
      • Partner with enablement and field leadership to develop communications and enablement for the field in support of fiscal year rollout and ensure timely distribution of quotas and sales compensation plans..
      • Build scalable systems and tools to support planning and compensation processes.
      • Act as a thought leader who can provide strategic direction and develop innovative solutions and processes to scale Snowflake’s business.

      ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

      • 15+ years of global sales/revenue/ go-to-market operations experience in a senior leadership role. Prior experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment is highly preferred.
      • 8+ years of people management experience.
      • Experience and understanding of go-to-market strategies across different segments and geographies.
      • In-depth understanding of sales planning and sales compensation functions. Advanced understanding of the sales incentive programs, what drives sales behavior and how to motivate sales teams. Familiarity with all aspects of business planning and sales execution.
      • Consistent track record of partnering with go-to-market leaders and executives to deliver strategic priorities and business outcomes.
      • Demonstrated proficiency in cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence and get things done across functional domains.
      • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment. Ability to adjust on the fly to new demands with a sense of urgency.
      • Demonstrated experience in hiring, managing, developing, and retaining talent at all levels.
      • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
      • Bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience; MBA preferred.
