      About This Position

      As the Senior Director of Shared Financial Operations, you will lead the policy, process design, and service delivery of the Credit & Collections and Accounts Payable teams across a global network. This strategic role ensures alignment with organizational goals while driving efficiency, standardization, high quality execution, and compliance. You will serve as the key stakeholder for developing and implementing global best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging technology and data to enhance timely, high quality and insightful financial information. The role requires expertise in best practices of process design to identify pain points, bring forward solutions, set key performance indicators (KPI’s) and collaborate closely with the end-to-end stakeholders of the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay value streams to create sustainable solutions that support the Radius business today and in the future.

      The role demands strong collaboration with regional teams, functional leaders, and stakeholders to harmonize operations and create more seamless end-to-end execution. You will lead two distinct teams, Credit & Collections, and Accounts Payable in the daily execution of cash inflows and outflows and making credit risk decisions. You will be instrumental in driving process innovation, leveraging technology, and mitigating risks in the face of expanding business operations while ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Sustainability and Integrity which are our Core Values.

      We seek an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Senior Director of Shared Financial Operations – Credit & Collections and Accounts Payable. You will be a leader to further the advancement of shared services and be an important part of our finance transformation journey which is in the early stages. You will use your expertise in process design principles and leading teams through change. As the process owner, you will oversee the integration of processes, people, and data systems to drive efficiency, productivity, and standardization throughout the network.


      In this role you will:

      • Lead the day-to-day service delivery of the Credit & Collections and Accounts Payable teams by establishing, creating, and tracking process KPI’s, explaining trends and creating insightful, decisions useful information to business leaders.
      • Be instrumental in managing credit risk across the company for a variety of domestic and export customers while supporting business initiatives, including potential changes that may be influenced by the recent merger with TTC to align with certain parent company policies or procedures.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively integrate processes, people, and data systems.
      • Utilize Lean or other process optimization principles to drive continuous improvement opportunities by implementing standardized processes and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
      • Conduct value stream analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and transformation.
      • Define and track KPIs to measure progress and achieve productivity goals.
      • Partner with business operations, end-to-end process partners, customers, and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration on shared objectives using your influencing skills to drive value to a broad set of stakeholders.
      • Lead change management initiatives to drive the adoption of new processes and methodologies across operations.
      • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of Safety, Sustainability and Integrity.

      Must Have: Minimum Requirements

      • Bachelors or Masters degree preferred
      • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and managing teams
      • Experience transforming high volume transactional functions such as credit & collections or payables and implementing standardized global processes


      Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

      • Strong knowledge of Lean or other process optimization principles, and a continuous improvement mindset.
      • Experience working with treasury, credit insurance providers, customers, and/or vendors is highly desirable.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives and drive organizational transformation.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct value stream analysis and drive process improvements.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
      • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results.
      • Experience working in matrixed teams responsible for influencing and communicating at all levels within the organization.
      • Familiarity and experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems and how disparate systems can interface to create integrated data.

      Job Conditions

      Most members of the Credit & Collections and the Accounts Payables teams work remotely with the option of working in the Company’s corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon (KOIN Tower). Work beyond normally scheduled hours may be required to complete deadline work, especially around month, quarter, and year-end timelines.

      Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

      Ability to: lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 10 pounds occasionally; sit for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; keyboard for extended periods of time, up to 1-3 hours per day; stand, walk, bend at waist, twist upper body, be mobile within an office environment and apply sufficient force to open and close filing drawers.

      Ability to communicate by speech and hearing, by phone and in person with other divisions within Radius Recycling and external customers.

      Visual acuity needed for close detail work, computer work, preparing, and analyzing financial statements, examining documents, data, and accounting statements.
