      Overview

      The Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for managing company-wide strategic initiatives, including customer implementation project activities and workstreams related to the onboarding of new customers and existing expansion customers, vendors, products, and/or services. This role ensures projects are completed on time within the project lifecycle and scope, managing all phases of the project including discovery, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and closure.

      This role is also responsible for leading the organization's continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. This role involves analyzing current processes, designing strategies for improvement, and overseeing the implementation of these strategies to drive business excellence and innovation.

      Success is defined when people, process, technology, and management process are fully aligned and operationalized across the various organization functions.


      Essential Functions

      • Plan and coordinate internal resources, customers and vendors for successful organization and execution of projects, including implementations
      • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify areas for operational improvements and develop strategic plans
      • Utilize data-driven approaches to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
      • Develop and maintain project plans both internally and externally to track progress and provide real-time visibility to project teams
      • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams
      • Deep focus on risk management to minimize projects risk, solution, and report to management for mitigation
      • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Education:

      Required: Bachelor’s degree in the fields of business administration, health administration/management or a related field is preferred.

      Equivalent: in lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

      Experience:

      Required:

      • at least 10 years as a project manager with a positive track record
      • healthcare operations experience in clinical, call center, and network

      Preferred:

      Lean / Six Sigma experience

      Certifications

      Preferred: PMP ® , CAPM ® or CSM ®

      Skills

      Required:

      • Proven experience in strategic planning and project management within healthcare industry.
      • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
      • Proven experience in process improvement within a similar industry.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, or Lean.
      • Experience using web-based project management tooling and software such as: Wrike, Asana, SmartSheets, Jira, or Aha!;
      • Expert with Microsoft Office365, spreadsheet and database programs, and dashboard reporting tools;
      • Experience in a healthcare organization, managed care organization or health related field;
      • Proven working experience as a successful program manager at least 10 years plus;
      • Critical thinking skills; ability to trouble shoot and identify root causes and problem solve;
      • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills with exceptional written and verbal skills;
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
      • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment;
      • Strong customer orientation, active listening skills, and the ability to anticipate customer needs;
      • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work independently with multiple interruptions.

      Compensation range: $160,000-$175,000
