      We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director Strategic Planning Manager to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in New York City, New York.

      In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

      • Leads the Strategic Planning area which covers multiple lines of business within Wealth Management
      • Understands the competitive landscape and overarching trends in financial services and specifically Wealth Management- maintains familiarity with industry best practices and seeks opportunities to implement as appropriate.
      • Sets strategic growth priorities across department and aligns with business heads to ensure execution to meet objectives and annual plan.
      • Develops plans that drive increased client satisfaction and leads key initiatives in partnership with the business leaders.
      • Resolves complex issues or inquiries from senior-level and works well with virtual teams across all line of business to continuous evolve our strategy and agree and deliver the critical initiatives to ensure our success.
      • Create executive level and /or Board ready presentations to articulate our forward-looking strategic insight and plans to support the business initiatives and needs.
      • Targets needed improvements through reviews and gap analysis to determine areas to be further developed in support of our clients’ needs and growth of the business. Maintains strong working relationships with senior business and sales leaders to address trends and development needs across lines of business.
      • Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
      • Manages a Strategic Planning area consisting of multiple teams and lines of business.
      • Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of Strategic Planning staff
      • Manages the performance of assigned staff. Coaches and guides on project management.

      To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

      • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
      • Advanced degree preferred.
      • Managerial experience is required.15 plus years of total work experience with at least 5-7 in management preferred.
      • Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.

      BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $151,300 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

      This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
