Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR-related functions for the Anesthesia Foundation. This role will provide strategic leadership and hands-on management across key HR areas including recruitment, compensation, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development.
This is a hybrid role that will be required to work onsite at least 3 days each week.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Foundation’s mission and goals
• Advise executive leadership on HR best practices, compensation, and emerging trends
• Lead initiatives to enhance culture, employee engagement, and diversity
Compensation and Benefits Administration
• Manage compensation programs and benefits planning in compliance with FLSA and organizational policies
• Oversee open enrollment, COBRA, retirement, LOA, disability, workers’ compensation, and 5500 filings
• Partner with the Physician’s Organization to negotiate group benefit rates and services
Policy, Compliance, and HR Systems
• Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and job descriptions
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal audit requirements
• Oversee HRIS and technology platforms, working with IT on system improvements and integration
Employee Relations and Communication
• Foster open and responsive communication through digital tools, meetings, and an open-door approach
• Collaborate with Hospital HR leadership on employee relations and consistent policy implementation
• Manage employee performance issues in coordination with Hospital HR
• Participate in relevant Foundation or Physician Organization committees
Recruitment, Onboarding, and Talent Development
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs)
• Design onboarding programs that promote seamless integration into the Foundation and hospital culture
• Ensure hiring practices support quality care and a diverse workforce
• Support ongoing staff training and development efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• BA degree required; minimum 10 years of progressively responsible HR and/or business management experience
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Strong grasp of employment laws (federal and state) and HR best practices
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive operational efficiency through new initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, clinical staff, and vendors
• Comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR technologies
