      We are looking for a experience CEI Senior Inspector in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to add to our highway team and work alongside our technical experts to provide contributions to the development of new techniques and standards. Help our team grow by mentoring the early professionals while assisting resident engineers and project administrators in completion of inspection work in accordance with projects and client specifications.

      Main Responsibilities:

      • Determine the acceptability of the day‐to‐day work by the contractor
      • Review and recommend accepting or rejecting daily reports submitted by the contractor
      • Performs inspection of the contractor’s quality control procedures
      • Performs material testing and verifies that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures.
      • Reviews material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measures quantities of materials placed.
      • May be required to perform sampling and/or in‐place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.

      • High School diploma
      • Previous experience working on roadway or bridge projects
      • Valid State’s driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
      • Experience with asphalt, concrete, earthwork & MOT

      Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

      • A technical school graduate or have a degree related to Engineering or Construction Management but not mandatory.

      Essential Functions:
      Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, work near construction equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, potential work at heights and be able to work day, nights or weekends.
