What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform insurance authorization and verification for patients scheduled for services
- Support the department supervisor with daily workflow and distribution of workload
- Assist with training and mentoring new team members while answering questions as a subject matter expert
- Identify appropriate clinical records and submit authorization requests to insurance companies
- Act as the liaison between physicians and insurance companies to ensure all approval requirements are met
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to achieve >95% accuracy and quality in handling accounts
- Strong customer service skills, as measured by phone call audits
- Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field
- Experience in the healthcare revenue cycle management sector
- Familiarity with insurance authorization processes and requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
