What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform complex internal audits, including strategic, operational, financial, IT, and compliance risk-based audits
- Design, execute, and manage risk-based audits, evaluating controls and processes for effectiveness and efficiency
- Draft audit reports summarizing key findings, recommendations, and metrics
- Communicate audit observations and support management responses and process improvement initiatives
- Serve as the contact for corporate, field, and external auditors regarding audit matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting, internal audit, or related operational auditing experience
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)
- Familiarity with compliance requirements including Medicare, Marketplace, Medicaid, and CMS regulations
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques to support audit testing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred
- Experience in the healthcare insurance industry
