      JOB SUMMARY

      As part of the L D team, the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist plays a vital role in the design and delivery of learning solutions for both field and corporate team members. This role will design, develop, and deliver best in class training and development programs and on-the-job support solutions, bringing the 24-Hour Fitness team member journey to life through visual storytelling and digital experiences.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

      L D Department Support

      • Apply adult learning theory to the design and development of high quality, learning solutions that create measurable organizational impact, including instructor-led and blended training programs as well as digital learning solutions that are adaptable for the enterprise.
      • Create a variety of job aids, power points, e-learning, knowledge base articles, multi-media assets utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and other various design tools.
      • Support user generated content process including content curation, editing, and providing support to revise and update existing content.
      • Build and maintain effective relationships with corporate and field business partners.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to strike the right tone and select the best medium of messaging.
      • Under the direct supervision of the Learning and Development Manager, this individual contributor role will have the responsibility for creating and revising professional grade graphics and prototypes in a highly collaborative virtual team environment.
      • Additionally, this role will partner with other teams, such as Operations, to create or improve high-impact PowerPoint slides and other graphical elements.
      • Assist in the creation and maintenance of graphics asset library for the L D department.


      L D Project Management

      • Ensures the objectives of each project are defined and delivered on schedule.
      • Responsible for writing eLearning course storyboards and other training materials in accordance with department standards and high-quality expectations.
      • Design and develop solutions including measurable learning objectives, facilitator and participant materials/tools, experiential scenarios, and assessments.
      • Maintain quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle including updating/editing existing content.
      • Maintain consistent adherence to training style guides, formats, and tools.
      • Provide system administration of the Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other Learning Development (L D) tools (document repository, other collaborative software).
      • Apply project management discipline for setting expectations, execution and resolving issues.
      • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts during the content development process, establishing design project timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment, engagement, and expectation management.


      Miscellaneous

      • Perform other duties as required.


      ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

      Reports to the Learning Development Manager and serves as a member of the learning and development project team.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge, Skills Abilities

      • Excellent interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent communication skills; written, oral, and facilitation.
      • Able to work on multiple projects under tight timelines.
      • Able to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
      • Able to lead and facilitate multiple activities and resources.
      • Flexible and adaptable -- excels in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment.
      • Technical writing skills.
      • Advanced graphic design/visual storytelling skills
      • Advanced experience in building impactful presentations.
      • Able to learn new software or technology quickly.
      • PC Computer proficiency with advanced skills in Microsoft and Adobe Suite.
      • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.


      Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


      Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

      • At least 4-6 years of experience in training and development, including areas such as learning technology, instructional design, course development, and facilitation.
      • At least 3 years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.


      Travel Requirement

      • Local and domestic travel up to 15% of the time is required.
      • For remote corporate support team members, must be located in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Texas or Florida within 50 miles of 24 Hour Fitness locations to facilitate occasional club visits.


      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge, Skills Abilities

      • Knowledge of training development processes, tools, and technology.
      • Able to facilitate dynamic training to groups large and small.


      Work Experience and Qualifications

      • 3+ years of learning and development experience in a multi-unit business model.

      Compensation Summary

      All Employees:Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.

      Average of 30 hours or more per week:Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).

      Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.

      Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant.
      Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $82,283.00-$91,425.00 (Exempt), $39.56-$43.95 (Non-Exempt)
      Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $85,860.00-$95,400.00 (Exempt), $41.28-$45.87 (Non-Exempt)
      Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $77,274.00-$85,860.00 (Exempt), $37.15-$41.28 (Non-Exempt)
