      We are seeking a passionate, proactive and creative Senior A&R Manager to join our London-based team. The role will be responsible for sourcing talented songwriters and artists and will require someone to have a developed network in the music industry with expert relationship-building skills for carrying out early discussions with the talent and their teams.

      Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as well as a good ear for talent, and an ability to identify emerging trends within the music industry.

      WHAT DOES A SENIOR A&R MANAGER DO AT KOBALT?

      • You source and identify available/unpublished talent and shares of copyright to sign.
      • You nurture and maintain relationships with current Kobalt clients, setting up sessions and collaborations for clients as well as pitch their songs.
      • You communicate with the International team on various projects and collaboration opportunities for writers and songs in the US and Europe.

      WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

      • You have a track-record of working successfully in a similar role at a major or independent with an extensive network and a stellar reputation.
      • You have a deep understanding of current and future trends in music, music business, and pop culture as well as extensive experience and knowledge of the US & European markets.
      • You have significant writer management deal making experience across International territories, specifically in US & Europe, working closely with Business Affairs to formulate deal proposals.
      • You have the ability to be both creative and data-driven, but you are also tech-savvy and with a finger on the pulse for current and future trends in music, social media and the digital landscape.
      • You have experience leading, motivating and managing a team so a team-oriented approach including communication, relationship-building and presentations skills will be essential.
      • You put Creators first, and are passionate about the independent music industry with a good knowledge of the ever-evolving digital landscape.
      • You are proactive and have an attitude to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines and targets.
