      Purpose

      ~ Position’s primary focus will be to develop, execute and maintain HMA’s Business Continuity Management Program (BCMP), including developing a BCMP governance and strategy, conducting/refreshing a business impact analysis, developing, maintaining and implementing business unit recovery plans, developing and implementing communication, training and exercise strategies for plans, providing regular reporting to executive management regarding the current state of the BCMP, taking a leadership role for oversight of response and recovery during a crisis, disaster, or other emergency, working closely with our cybersecurity and I.T. groups on their management of disaster recovery and how it relates to HMA’s business continuity (BC) initiatives, and providing on-going maintenance of the strategy and plan.

      Major Responsibilities

      ~ Exercise discretion and independent judgement to Develop a BCMP from the ground up.

      ~ Conduct/refresh the business impact assessment and threat analysis; develop and implement business unit recovery plans.

      ~ Develop and implement communications, training, and exercise strategies for all plans.

      ~ Maintain open and regular communications between HMA’s management; and update plans as business requirements dictate.

      ~ Develop overall governance and strategy for the BCMP, including identifying gaps in current operations and development of specific processes and procedures following a disaster or significant event to minimize the disruption to the business operations.

      ~ Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines aligned to industry best practices, as well as oversee policy approval, dissemination, and training.

      ~ Maintain BC software portal.

      ~ Respond to emergencies and data losses, mitigate incidents, and plan to avoid them in the future.

      Major Responsibilities (continued)

      ~ Develop and coordinate test and exercises to ensure the effectiveness of the BCMP.

      ~ Lead training and awareness efforts required to increase employee understanding of the BC program.

      ~ Lead BC audits and develop a close relationship with the departments’ BC coordinators.

      ~ Coordinate HMA’s efforts in life safety and information security, regarding BC and be the custodian for companywide policies.

      Authority

      ~ This position requires advanced knowledge and reports to the Senior Group Manager, Administrative Services and has no direct reports at this time.

      ~ The authority of this role is governed by the HMA Executive Committee and the VP, Human Resources & Admin Services.

      ~ This position is expected to be the primary subject matter expert for BCMP and as such, provide critical thinking to propose ideas or solutions that are in the best interest for the HMA organization. Hiring and subsequent management of suppliers and other Manager related duties may be required for this position.

      ~ This position will also require the individual to take the initiate to investigate and make recommendation to stakeholders, senior management, and executives.

      Education

      ~ Must be a high school graduate
      ~ Bachelor’s degree required.
      ~ Master’s degree a plus

      Related Experience

      ~ 8 or more years of relevant experience in risk and BCMP, with at least 5 years of project management experience.

      ~ Experience developing a BCMP from the ground up for a medium to large company.

      ~ Experience in managing BC consultants/vendors and BC

      Skills/Knowledge

      ~ Extensive knowledge of regulatory and industry best practices related to BC and business resilience.

      ~ Comprehensive knowledge related to organizing and managing projects including assessment, planning, and budgeting.

      ~ Superior communication skills, including presentation development and delivery; ability to explain complex technical or business concepts successfully to a non-technical audience.

      ~ Ability to present ideas, concepts and high-level program objectives to senior management and executives.

      ~ Discretion to work autonomously with minimal supervision and management oversight.

      ~ Knowledge of data privacy rules and regulations, data security, encryption, password management, intrusion detection/prevention systems and digital rights a plus.

      Certification Required

      ~ Certification such as CBCI, CBCMP, EDRP is big plus.

      ~ Additional degrees/certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), computer systems, audit, or similar analytics is a plus.
