- Engage cross-functional staff to create program agnostic commodity strategies for use across Raytheon’s existing and future programs
- Adjust the commodity strategies for part and program specific factors and integrate them into Material Program Plans to transition them to execution
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of suppliers to implement the strategy through market research, RFI’s, and strategic sourcing campaigns which aggregate parts from multiple programs into a single RFP
- Serve as Raytheon’s supply chain point-of-contact for collaboration with Collins and Pratt & Whitney. This entails aligning strategies across the businesses and finding opportunities to leverage suppliers across RTX.
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 8 years relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Technical (Engineering) experience specifically in composites, plastics, ceramics, heat exchangers, and/or other heat transfer devices.
- Business experience with acquisition of products in the areas of composites, plastics, ceramics, heat exchangers, and/or other heat transfer devices.
- Experience in multiple functions such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Program Management, Quality, or Finance
- Strategic Sourcing experience, including requirements definition, supplier identification, value proposition design, FAR/DFARS contracting constraints, supplier selection, and agreement negotiation.
- Strategy development experience, including market research, data analytics, risk & opportunity identification, market segmentation, and business case development
- Experience collaborating with cross functional staff, working in a team environment, and influencing without authority
- Excellent communication skills across functions and up/down a hierarchy
- Flexibility to travel up to one week per quarter

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
