Business Product Ownership and citizen developer for Pega workflow/Business Process Management
We're looking for someone who is an established lean / six sigma (Blackbelt / Master Blackbelt / equivalent qualified) practitioner with evidence of implementing sustained change resulting in tangible benefit return. Effective partner engagement, which ensures delivery of Continuous Improvement programme/projects. Qualification: Project Management qualifications (e.g. Prince, Agile PM) preferred but not required
People and Self Development: Leads, motivates, develops, and coaches to create a hard-working & performing team. Contributes to the development and performance of CI & Intelligent Automation Function - Show a committed investment in our people, showing leadership, coaching and mentoring to your team to help them on their career journeys, including supporting our skills-based agenda
Discipline to adopt, and evidence use of, CI 'DMAIC' project lifecycle standards and delivery of multiple projects across differing business processes. You'll have a proven ability to manage and deliver required outcomes for a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues. Defining, shaping, and the delivery of a portfolio of projects (some of which will be of high complexity) seeking opportunities for providing industry leading service whilst delivering efficiencies, financial benefits and reducing risk
Builds Internal/External Relationships: Capability to build and maintain external and internal networks to identify standard methodology and to grow and embed Continuous Improvement behaviours and skills across the business. You 'll be an accomplished influencer at all levels, including Director level, with effective communication and partner leadership skills
Customer Experience: Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end customer experience lifecycle and how this can be utilised to add maximum value to clients, colleagues, and the Group
Collaboration You'll be able to collaborate across different teams, and lead & encourage colleagues to deliver high quality outputs with positive tangible impact
Leading, organising and coaching a team and projects to deliver in line with agreed CI standards and methodologies, within which costs, benefits, risks, issues, quality and delivery can be measured
Risk: Continuously evaluates programmes/projects for financial, regulatory or compliance risks. Quickly taking appropriate steps to mitigate
Working across the team to utilises their services and technology solutions to improve the client experience in individual projects- alongside CI improvements
Governance and Reporting: Establish and manage a project governance structure, with different levels of partner input, to effectively control each project and workstream whilst exercising optimal control. Working closely with the Accountable Executive to provide regular status reporting and solutions driven contingency plans
Planning and Finance: Drives progress against the project plan; understands, challenges, and proactively manages the cost position; and acts to mitigate potential cost or time delays.
Developing CI Capability Uplift through coaching and developing Continuous Improvement capability across BCB

About This Opportunity
This role represents an excellent opportunity to join our Senior Leadership within Continuous Improvement (CI) & Intelligent Automation reporting directly to the Head of CI & Intelligent Automation.
The CI & Intelligent Automation team sits within Business & Commercial Banking Chief Operating Office (BCB COO). This is an exciting role that will give you the opportunity to have a large influence in improving our processes for our clients and colleagues - you'll have a genuine opportunity to make a difference through the use of process improvement techniques, data and technology.
We're a diverse team of around 45 colleagues, based in Edinburgh, Bristol, London and Birmingham providing multiple BCB-wide services.
It’s an exciting time for us as a newly formed Team within BCB COO that brings together the complementary skills of Continuous Improvement, Robotics and process improvement through the Pega platform.
