- Ensure continued alignment of Corporate Functions DEI judicious focus and initiatives to the Global DEI strategy and 2025 goals
- Supports alignment between Corporate Functions DEI Council and the All-Bank Inclusion Council, including consistent governance framework and processes.
- Leads the management and execution of new and existing Corporate Functions DEI programs/initiatives in collaboration with Corporate Functions DEI Executive Champions and working team Leads
- Assess current Corporate Functions DEI Programs, identify areas of opportunities, make recommendations in alignment with Enterprise DEI strategy
- Spearheads the design and delivery of Corporate Functions specific priorities with defined roadmap to help further our DEI agenda, working in partnership with ERGs, Enterprise DEI team, Sub-Committee Leads, HR and Comms
- Research, recommend, develop and implement judicious initiatives in collaboration with Corporate Functions DEI working team Leads, to ensure achievement of Corporate Functions diversity objectives and goals
- Define, develop and track metrics for DEI Programs to measure and promote impact of specific strategies and ensure milestones are met for all DEI commitments; report progress and recommend opportunities for priority focus to a range of stakeholders including Enterprise & Corporate Functions IC, Enterprise DEI team, etc.
- Liaise with HR, DEI Enterprise team, ERGs, Sub-Committee Leads, Communications and applicable COE partners to provide input on design of innovative hiring programs to further diverse hiring, training and development and retention strategies
- Provide thought leadership by delivering creative initiatives and recommendations to drive business strategy and engagement around DEI
- Partner with multiple internal stakeholders from across the bank, to gather, consolidate, and execute on request for information for external client facing request, pertaining to DEI
- Recommends DEI best practice initiatives, where applicable develops and oversees the execution of innovative approaches/ bespoke DEI programs to further embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence across the Corporate Functions
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

- Passion for D&I work; demonstrated awareness of all facets of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience or judicious initiatives experience.
- Project management experience with ability to implement corporate change strategies in partnership with senior leadership and across functions.
- Strong business acumen supplemented with the accepted ability to build successful and effective relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Accepted communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to promote ideas persuasively and effectively, win buy-in for initiatives and work through conflicts, in order to ensure operational alignment and high impact execution.
- Ability to translate evidence-based strategy into actionable plans that drives the cultural and behavioral
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business/human resources or work-related experience.
- CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset.
- Previous experience working within a global matrix environment
- Results-oriented in managing and executing multiple programs simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate and work in partnership with various internal teams and external partners/vendors towards common goals
