      As Senior Manager Environmental Social and Governance (ESG), you will lead a small team supporting CommBank’s business banking customers, and the relationship managers that support them, through this transition.

      We support our business customers by helping them understand the impact of the transition to their business, and deploying capital to support them in the implementation of sustainability initiatives.

      This role sits in Business Banking (BB), reporting to the Executive Manager ESG and Sustainable Finance, and working closely with the General Manager ESG and Sustainable Finance.

      You will join a purpose driven, high performing, passionate team, where our customers are central to everything we do. This is an important area of focus for the Group, Business Banking, our customers and communities that we serve.

      This is a unique role for an experienced Senior Manager, where you can have real and lasting impact on the Australian economy and our response to the transition.

      More specifically you will support your team in

      Working with frontline teams to uplift banker capability, deliver change, support better understanding of our suite of sustainability related products. You will support various internal and external E&S related reporting requirements as well as work with product partners to further develop our range of sustainability related products.

      You will be dealing with internal stakeholders like our Distribution teams, Group E&S team, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing and Corporate Affairs on an ongoing basis. Maintaining and growing the existing strong relationships with these stakeholders.

      You should be able to provide guidance, insights and informed advice to the business on our sustainability product offerings, the external and internal operating context and recent trends in this area. Previous people leadership experience is highly desirable.

      • Passionate about sustainability and ideally prior experience working in a sustainability role.
      • Understand and have experience delivering change at scale in a corporate environment with extensive change load.
      • Can demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of being able to influence colleagues, peers, senior leaders and other stakeholders.
      • Have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
      • Have strong attention to detail.
      • Are able to operate confidently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
      • Can demonstrate you can deal effectively with complex issues and manage through ambiguity
