Advise and challenge the business with timely and proactive analyses, assessment of variances vs budget-forecast with financial impacts and risks
Act as an active business partner, providing management information to other departments, informing on any unexpected issues impacting the financial performance of the site and proposing / implementing corrective actions
Stabilize accounting activities with BPO partner (P2P, A2R, O2C)
Lead and execute the site’s financial month-end and year-end closings (determining and analyzing manufacturing variances)
Ensure Syntese A/S required reporting to the Danish authorities such as tax, VAT, energy cost deductibles etc.
Ensure preparation of Syntese A/S annual accounts for the Danish authorities, incl. facilitating external auditing
Provide monthly financial reports to the site’s cost center managers
Assess and manage the site’s financial performance
Prepare, lead and execute the site’s forecast and budget exercises
Ensure a reliable product costing
Identify process improvement opportunities, determine and drive implementation plans
Identify and support productivity and financial improvement initiatives
Ensure strict implementation of IFRS and internal guidelines as well as adherence to local regulations
Lead, motivate and develop staff, ensure optimal training across the team
Lead implementation of new reporting tools to ensure more timely, accurate and transparent reporting
Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or similar
10+ years’ experience in Finance and good experience in multinational environments
Experience with manufacturing controlling and product costing
Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes
Strong project and change management skills
Analytical mindset and self-starter, being able to see opportunities and solve problems independently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Work independently with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
Ability to work in a decentralized finance structure
Ability to set long-term financial targets and sponsor performance improvement projects

You overall responsibility as Senior Finance Manager at Syntese A/S is twofold: On one hand, you are responsible for the finance function of our manufacturing site Syntese in the context of the Ferring Group, ensuring budgeting, controlling, and reporting into the group finance function. On the other hand, you are the Finance Head of the legal entity Syntese A/S in Denmark, responsible for compliance to local regulations and financial reporting to the Danish authorities, incl. the annual accounts and related audit process.
You will play a key role identifying and driving change initiatives. The role offers great opportunities to contribute with process improvements, productivity enhancements, cost savings and cultural changes. The role provides significant opportunities to support the business and develop your own skills.
As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for a team of two controllers. You will also work closely with our outsourced partner for all accounting and transactional activities. The role requires to combine financial knowledge with strong business acumen and change management mindset.
Your mission within the local Leadership Team is to help the company achieve its current strategy and targets, provide efficient business partnering to the different functions, lead the on-going operational changes and support the improvement of processes and manufacturing productivity.
