We launched our line of Asian pantry essentials in 2020 to bring restaurant flavors to home cooks everywhere. Since then, we have grown our team to more than 10 employees and our products can now be found nationwide – from our owned ecommerce marketplace to the shelves at grocery stores like Whole Foods and Wegmans.

      The Momofuku Goods Senior Manager of Customer Planning will be responsible for leading and driving revenue growth within the natural channel for Momofuku. This individual will build and develop existing relationships as well as identify and establish new partnerships. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in growing a fast-growing CPG brand in the natural channel. This person should have experience managing a broker network and distributor partners. The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter who can flex up and can easily adjust between strategy and execution. This person should maintain a growth mindset and look for ways to seek new opportunities to win. The Senior Manager of Customer Planning will report to the VP of Sales.

      Compensation Band: $138,000 - $154,000 annually

      Responsibilities:

      • An integral piece of the demand team and develop systems for continuous improvement, so the team can seize opportunities.
      • Be the point person for the organization around the demand side of the business.
      • Strong collaboration with the Sales team to write effective annual operating plans that deliver sales, investment and profit goals internally; while delivering on external account goals along with necessary tracking and KPIs.
      • Evaluate and assess white space opportunities and make strategic recommendations to teams (innovation, pricing, channel strategy).
      • Manage trade monitoring tool so Finance can appropriately track; along with outlining KPIs/ROI for the Sales team to work towards.
      • Conduct market, category, and competitive assessments to identify white space opportunities for new product innovation and brand incubation.

      Required Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of experience in trade and demand planning for a CPG brand.
      • Strong understanding of syndicated sales data (Nielsen, IRI or SPINS) and ability to leverage data and analytics in building convincing data-based sales stories.
      • Track record of translating strategy into actionable, measurable goals.
      • Knowledge of trade promotions and levers for each account. Specifically possess the ability to make recommendations and suggestions to the Sales team based on data and historical lift knowledge.
      • Comfortable presenting in front of groups and the leadership team.
      • Maintain a “never take no for an answer” attitude.
      • A team player willing to roll up their sleeves and help across the department when needed.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 7+ years of experience managing natural/specialty key accounts for a fast-growing CPG brand.
      • Experience developing growth objectives of sales plans (including new Brand/SKU launches), including the allocation of targets by brand, geography, and channel to ensure delivery of sales targets.
      • Proven ability to collaborate with Finance, Operations and key business stakeholders to understand the story behind the numbers (i.e. volume, mix, trade ROI, slotting), synthesize into executive-level performance commentary and make recommended adjustments to peers and the executive team.
      • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the inner workings of Momofuku’s Sales team, systems, and processes with a strong analytical orientation and an ability to use data to make informed decisions.
