      Summary of Role:


      SunPower is looking for a Senior Manager on the Pricing team. This role reports to VP of Pricing.


      The Senior Manager leads pricing strategy in the residential solar channel. It is a senior role with significant impact and autonomy. The Senior Manager is a player/coach, combining managerial and individual contributor responsibilities. The role requires effective cross-functional leadership. Key partners include sales, product management, policy & strategy, SunPower financial, digital products, finance, and business technology. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and curious problem-solver, is deeply analytical, is flexible and energetic, and works backwards from the problem.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Sets pricing for residential solar across channels, considering customer value, strategic goals, profitability goals, and public policy.
      • Manages large pricing strategy projects from start to finish including establishing work plan, analyzing internal and external data, collaborating on hypotheses, and developing proposals.
      • Presents recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and remaining executive team
      • Leads implementation of pricing, directing the work of the pricing operations team, and collaborating with sales, technology, marketing, and digital.
      • Partners with FP&A to reflect pricing inputs in the financial forecast and with technology to automate that process
      • Leads post-mortem, market and competitive insight generation, and recommendations for Monthly Pricing Review. Partners with VPs of Sales, Pricing, and Product to identify and prioritize pricing opportunities.
      • Owns pricing decision toolkit and establishes requirements for business analyst partners.
      • Establishes policies and guidelines for discounts and promotions.
      • Accountable for flawless implementation of pricing for dealers and consumers, including system inputs, communication, and monitoring.
      • Establishes requirements for system improvements for Business Technology partners.
      • May manage 1-2 direct reports.
      • Create repeatable processes from scrappy ad hoc work.
      • Collaborate effectively in strategic and tactical planning discussions including SMART goal development.


      Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, business, economics, or related
      • 10+ years’ experience in pricing, strategy, product management, consulting, or related
      • 3+ years’ people management experience
      • Experience making business decisions and influencing stakeholders
      • Proven ability to develop talent
      • Superior analytical skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Proven project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
      • Proven ability to work independently and build relationships and effective partnerships
      • Experience with SQL & business intelligence tools including advanced capabilities in Excel

      Please note the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and in the geographical location noted. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,520/year to $215,280/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package including annual bonus eligibility, short and long-term incentives, and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program which includes health insurance coverage, employee wellness, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, paid time off, and so much more.
