- Req#: 2300009164
- Governance: Regulatory Interpretation Committee (RIC) and Regulatory Interpretation Forum (RIF): Review RIF and RIC papers, support the secretariat function for the RIF or the RIC and liaise with the chairperson, committee members and other internal stakeholders to plan meetings.
- Horizon scanning: Weekly scanning of latest regulatory developments to ensure internal policies/standards/IRB model development checklists are up-to-date and make timely escalation to the relevant teams;
- Regulatory Liaison: Support regulatory engagement on regulator/industry related consultations;
- Regulatory Advisory: Provide businesses and functions (including the Financial Regulatory Reporting team) with direct support on technical Q&A, regulatory treatment of transactions, new products and businesses.
- Regulatory Change: Participate in regulatory projects and provide guidance to the project team where interpretation of requirement is required; supporting implementation of regulatory change, especially mandatory compliance change such as Basel 3.1.
- Knowledge Sharing, Training and Development: Maintain the team’s knowledge base (KB) intranet site, provide technical training and development for Functions and Business as required.
- Advocacy: Contribute to consultation responses and participation in industry groups.
- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in the team; Perform other responsibilities assigned by the people leader.
- Good knowledge of UK capital prudential regulations rooted in strong working knowledge of Basel-driven prudential regulatory concepts, particularly Credit Risk: Standardised and IRB Approaches, Credit Risk Mitigation, Securitisation, Standardised Approach to Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR), Large Exposures, Leverage Ratio.
- Financial Services industry experience, ideally in regulatory functions.
- Ability of making considered decisions and recommendations and building on existing ideas and structures
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in ambiguous environments, often without complete information.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build and sustain strong working relationships and establish credibility with stakeholders.
- Compelling and clear communicator, able to probe topics in granular detail and summarise key points for internal stakeholders.
- Technology awareness and ability to translate regulatory into business requirements and participate in industry discussions on the digital transformation of regulatory reporting.
