- Execute a comprehensive roadmap across various business units and staff groups and the three lines of defense inclusive of all tasks needed to complete the strategic planning process (across the enterprise) and Board approval of the AENB Strategic Plan.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of policy and procedures management, affiliate agreement oversight, and contract reviews, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines.
- Identify potential risks and issues, monitor and report on the status of tasks and milestones, provide timely updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and resolutions across projects.
- Coordinate/develop robust presentations for key internal and external audiences, including the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and various management committees, etc.
- Drive business and risk insights through monitoring and reporting, and partner with extended teams across business units to compile results, etc.
- Support internal coordination of key audits and examinations and ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner with inputs from all related stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
- The Sr. Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Planning.
- Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to clearly advise on progress, roadblocks, and successfully drive project progress.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional business writing skills.
- Strong communicator who can effectively influence, multitask, and prioritize as business needs evolve with a high degree of comfort.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all band levels and work effectively in a collaborative, multi-cultural, team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work streams under time constraints, respond quickly, manage deadlines, and manage changing priorities in a dynamic and very demanding environment while leading with limited direct authority.
- Anticipate needs and act proactively.
- Impeccable integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in regulatory, risk management, compliance, or audit preferred.
- Bachelor's degree.
- High degree of familiarity with Sharepoint, Powerpoint Word and Excel

The Strategic Planning team for American Express National Bank (AENB) focuses on the creation of the AENB Strategic Plan, consisting of business strategies across the enterprise, risk assessments and financials. The Business Strategy Sr. Manager will assist in developing and implementing the AENB Strategic Plan. This individual will focus on project management, the strategic planning process, policy and procedures management, preparation of Board and committee presentations, creating and refreshing templates and training documents, and reporting and monitoring. The position requires the ability to effectively function in a dynamic environment including the ability to address ad hoc projects that arise based on developing business needs.
About AENB: American Express National Bank is American Express’ U.S. banking operation, representing more than 60% of the company’s revenues through consistent payments, financing and savings products. Led by the Chief Operating Officer, AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with Bank affiliates and executive officers. In addition, the team is responsible for helping AENB attain all established operational and financial goals as well as ensuring ongoing adherence with laws and regulations governing Bank policies and procedures.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
