      Job Description

      What is the opportunity?

      As a Senior Manager, T&O Finance, Performance Management, you will lead a team that provides financial and advisory services for T&O annual operating plan, 5 Year strategic outlook, forecast, processes including T-5 estimates for T&O. You will provide detailed analysis and commentary for all planning initiatives, as well as analysis of gaps between forecast and actual results.

      What will you do?

      • Streamline and manage the annual Operating Plan, 5 Year Strategic plan process to integrate P&L, balance sheet, and strategic levers used by Senior Management.
      • Focus on ensuring appropriate metrics are used to provide effective early warning of risks to performance objectives and provide appropriate responses.
      • Manage the monthly T-5 estimates, enterprise forecast process, annual plan and related business reviews focusing on alignment with strategy, transparent reporting on major initiatives and increased use of business drivers and key performance metrics.
      • Provide comprehensive, in-depth and timely analytical support through developing financial summaries and presentations for VP, T&O Finance and T&O OC for forecast, plan and 5 Year Strategic Outlook.
      • Gain comprehensive understanding of T&O business structure and collaborate with finance teams across the enterprise to ensure timely flow of information to enable effective and actionable decision making.
      • Provide guidance, comprehensive and timely analytical support to T&O Finance teams on EPM system issues, changes and resolution including any T&O organizational changes.
      • Collaborate with Enterprise Performance Management team for reporting of forecast/plan/5YO.
      • Engage in various projects as required and support and prepare ad-hoc analysis for financial results as requested
      • Manage and actively coach junior staff to develop their capabilities to maintain a strong team.

      What do you need to succeed?

      • 5+ years of relevant finance experience (or closely related function) experience
      • Strong understanding of the drivers of performance and outcome measures of RBC’s businesses.
      • Enterprise mindset and strong analytical capabilities
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills
      • Strong in Excel and Powerpoint
      • Team player
      • Initiative and proactive thinking
      • Cope with tight timelines and occasionally long hours required
      • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate multi-tasking skill
      • CA/CGA/CMA/MBA/CFA
      • Solid people and project management skills.

      Nice-to-have

      • Working experience and knowledge of EPM
