      Position Summary

      The Senior Marketing Automation Manager is a manager-level role on our Inbound Marketing Team. This person must be able to determine how marketing automation can grow a business and creatively reach various audiences through email and SMS marketing. They should have experience working with and leading inbound strategy for various types of enterprise level clients (B2B, SaaS, B2C, e-commerce, etc.), and expertise in leveraging best in class email platforms to drive results for clients. They must have experience working across teams (particularly paid social, paid search, and e-commerce) and developing a successful integrated strategy from start to finish. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, enjoys working in a collaborative team, and a strong work ethic.

      Responsibilities & Duties

      • Work effectively with enterprise-level clients, leading the vision of the campaigns/workflows and collaborating with various teams to execute an integrated strategy
      • Manage the implementation of compelling email and SMS marketing strategy for various clients
      • Manage 2 - 3 direct reports and mentor them in their inbound marketing strategy
      • Establish targeting strategies based on customer lifecycle segmentation and predictive analytics
      • Ensure timely and successful deployment of all targeted email campaigns
      • Identify potential issues or challenges to campaign or project completion and find/implement solutions
      • Assist with weekly project status updates and forecast of incoming work for team meetings
      • Work with team leadership to continue to define and refine the inbound department services/offerings
      • Lead the creation elements of email marketing initiatives - strategies, programs, and calendars, including those that are integrated with other marketing initiatives
      • Take the lead in reviewing monthly performance reports to highlight wins, areas of improvement and recommendations for future programs
      • Report regularly on email campaign results and use results to inform future strategies
      • Participate in inbound marketing thought leadership on the Inbound team and at 829 as a whole

      Qualifications & Skills

      • 5+ years of email marketing experience in a client-facing role and 1+ years managing direct reports
      • 5+ years working in enterprise Marketo or Hubspot environments
      • Marketo, Hubspot, and/or Pardot experience
      • Proven track record with cross-functional collaboration and achieving high customer satisfaction
      • Experience working with ABM/B2B clients
      • Experience managing direct reports
      • Expertise in defining, managing, and optimizing marketing automation workflows
      • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices
      • Experience within the digital advertising landscape and related technologies, and with integrated marketing initiatives and goals
      • Expertise with pulling performance and engagement metrics and producing data-driven insights and reports
      • Relevant work experience in a marketing role - tactical experience building and managing marketing campaigns utilizing lead generation and lead nurturing strategies.
      • Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision
      • Outstanding interpersonal skills and superior communication skills
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - must be very detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
      • Nice-to-Haves: Experience managing people or interest in people management, experience with The Adobe Engage Suite and/or Salesforce a plus, Marketo Certified Associate, Hubspot Certified, and/or Pardot Certifications
