      Description

      BBB is seeking a creative, strategic, and experienced leader to join our team as Senior Marketing Manager in our NYC Office. This role is ideal for a proactive thinker with deep roots in the architecture, design, or A/E/C industry, a passion for storytelling, and a talent for leading high-performing teams. The Senior Marketing Manager will drive firmwide marketing pursuits that position our architects and designers for success across a dynamic and diverse portfolio.


      The Senior Marketing Manager plays a central role in shaping and advancing BBB’s narrative through compelling written and graphic proposals on pursuits for architecture and planning projects. Overseeing Proposal Manager(s) and Marketing Coordinator(s), this role ensures the delivery of compelling, client-focused materials for all four BBB office locations. The position reports to the Director of Business Development and works closely with firm Principals and Partners to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing strategies and materials.


      This role requires in-office presence Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.


      Key Responsibilities


      Proposal Management

      • Lead firmwide pursuit efforts from inception to completion.
      • Drive continuous improvement in pursuit management processes, tools, and templates.
      • Attend kickoff meetings and guide pursuit strategies, including conceptualization, storyboarding, development of key differentiators and content, as well as leveraging best marketing assets.
      • Review draft materials, provide feedback, and support staff through fast-paced deadlines.
      • Directly manage high-priority, complex pursuits, including writing and editing content.
      • Oversee pursuit deadlines and team assignments to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
      • Supervise the development and maintenance of marketing collateral, including resumes, project sheets, project lists, decks, brochures, digital files, and pursuit-related assets.
      • Review pursuits summary for biweekly firm leadership meetings.
      • Assist with special marketing initiatives.

      People Management

      • Mentor and develop marketing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
      • Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, including graphic designers, content strategist, and firm leadership.
      • Contribute to strategic planning during team meetings and provide forward-thinking leadership.
      • Work collaboratively with the Proposal Manager to allocate resources and assign tasks across the team.

      Qualifications

      • 15+ years of experience in a marketing leadership role within the A/E/C industry.
      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Demonstrated success managing and mentoring staff.
      • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
      • Excellent collaboration skills and spirit.
      • Sound judgment, ability to identify and solve problems, and ability to communicate proactively with the Director of Business Development
      • Highly organized, systems-oriented, and detail-focused with a strong sense of accountability.
      • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
      • Expertise with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook); Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience is a plus.

      Compensation

      BBB offers fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000, with variations depending on experience, education, achievements, and business needs. Employees may also receive an annual performance-based bonus and salary increase.
