What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consult on proper coding rules for value-based contracts, ensuring accurate quality measure capture and coding usage
- Serve as a coding subject matter expert for contract pricing and compliance, conducting complex analyses to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and refine guides and resources for providers on billing methodologies and coding submissions
- Participate in strategy development and contribute to thought leadership for quality measure capture initiatives
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk adjustment coding, ambulatory coding, or CRC coding in managed care or the health insurance industry
- CCS-Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Coder (CCS or CPC) from AHIMA or AAPC
- Knowledge of billing practices and revenue cycle management in healthcare settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Experience in medical auditing and training/presenting to large groups
- Demonstrated ability to create educational materials and procedural guides
