      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage regulatory permitting across multiple construction projects in California's Central Valley
      - Develop permitting strategies, permit applications, and compliance documentation
      - Direct contracting staff in preparing applications for permit amendments
      - Assist with compliance activities, addressing regulatory inquiries and potential noncompliance events
      - Utilize a proprietary mitigation tracking database to prepare reports

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - BA/BS degree with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Proven experience in regulatory permitting and environmental compliance in California
      - Strong understanding of federal and state environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
      - Experience in construction compliance tracking and reporting
      - Ability to synthesize and analyze data for reporting purposes

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field with 10 years of experience
      - Experience with large-scale compensatory mitigation planning and procurement
      - Familiarity with wildlife connectivity projects
      - Knowledge of design-build contracting and construction processes
      - Background in managing large, complex programs and projects
